Automated decisions check: ready for 10 December 2026?

Template only, not legal advice; have a lawyer review; this tool does not determine compliance.

From 10 December 2026, an APP entity's privacy policy has to describe certain decisions a computer program makes or substantially shapes, where personal information is used and the decision could significantly affect someone's rights or interests. OAIC's fact sheet treats "computer program" broadly, including rule-based processes, AI and machine learning, and other software.

Credit-like scoring is not in this check. Eight questions. Your trigger answers apply to every use you tick.
